Virtual rooms are frequently used in hotels, aparthotels, or flexible properties that have their individual rooms listed on Airbnb but categorized on Booking.com or Expedia.
Add virtual room type
To add a virtual room or accommodation, click on the Add room icon and the following window will open:
Basic information: Just as you created your accommodations, you must enter a name, select the type, and a shortname for that room or accommodation.
Price variation type: You can increase or decrease the price by fixed or percentage values, or set a fixed or custom value.
Variation amount: Enter the desired amount.
Availability variation: Enter the number of units you wish to decrease or increase in the accommodation's availability (actual).
Parent room: Select the category to which you wish to link this virtual room.
Choose if you want to copy restrictions and which ones
Frequent usage of virtual room types
***For example: if you have a building with 13 apartments, each with its own Airbnb listing, but the apartments are categorized into 5 categories on Booking.com or Expedia, you can create virtual accommodations to sync with Airbnb as follows: Variation Type: Select Increase or Decrease Variation Amount: 0 Availability Variation: 0 Parent Accommodation: Select the category you created for the Booking.com or Expedia categories
With this configuration, all Airbnb listings will be available until the availability of the room category is set to 0.
